01 About
Origins never define outcomes.
Nascent Group is a diversified business at the intersections of technology, talent and trade. Through Cyber, Convergence and Consulting, we bring together the capabilities and partnerships that help our clients move forward.
Built against the odds, Nascent Group reflects the journey of Shameer Karriem, our Executive Chairman, Founder & Owner: coming from a disadvantaged background and without formal education, he built a diversified group grounded in the belief that origins never define outcomes. That conviction shapes our purpose to recognise potential, open doors, execute and deliver upon expectations, and create opportunities for everyone to succeed.

Technology meets trade
Nascent Group has partnered with the UAE on the implementation of systems like Shahin, Dubai Customs' comprehensive cargo tracking and tracing platform, used across Dubai's customs ports and entry points. Integrated with the Green Corridor initiative, it combines smart seals, real-time shipment monitoring and coordinated customs processes to support secure, efficient movement from origin to destination.
Nascent Group is the exclusive partner to the UAE for deploying Green Corridor technology across Africa. We are establishing the Africa Green Corridor for governments across the continent, bringing this integrated value chain to African markets, connecting secure transit, customs clearance and shipment visibility to help authorities and logistics partners protect cargo, reduce delays and improve cross-border trade efficiency.
Register cargo, confirm shipment details and plan the route.
Prepare digital documents, submit declarations and coordinate risk checks before dispatch.
Verify cargo, apply smart seals and establish the chain of custody.
Monitor location, route compliance and seal integrity, with alerts at every stage.
Coordinate border checks, required inspections and cargo release with customs authorities.
Verify seals, confirm delivery and close the journey with a digital audit trail.
Protect cargo with smart seals, route controls and tamper alerts, maintaining a clear chain of custody from dispatch to delivery.
Connect digital documentation, customs declarations and agency workflows to support risk checks, required inspections and timely cargo release.
Give authorised stakeholders a shared view of shipment location, checkpoint events and exceptions, with alerts that support a faster response.
Reduce duplicate paperwork and avoidable handover delays. Use transit times, border dwell times and delivery records to improve corridor performance.
The value of connected trade
Earlier clearance, secure transit and shared visibility help reduce delays across the value chain. Explore published Dubai benchmarks and how connected trade can protect cargo, strengthen revenue collection and reduce opportunities for theft and fraud.

98.6% less inspection time
Jebel Ali’s advanced X-ray system reduces the inspection stage from six hours manually to five minutes, helping cargo move through the port more efficiently.

Who benefits
Technology meets assurance
Built in Africa. Built for Africa.
Shameer Karriem, Founder & Owner of Nascent Group, holds a 25% ownership stake in DarkRisk, Africa's first third-party risk management (TPRM) startup. Its platform brings supplier responses, supporting evidence and external intelligence into one view, helping organisations move from collecting answers to understanding risk.
A completed questionnaire starts the assessment. AI-assisted analysis, evidence review and verifiable findings deepen it. Dark-web intelligence and media monitoring add the context a supplier may never disclose, giving your team a stronger basis for decisions.
From declaration to assurance
Select a stage to explore the checks behind it.
Stage 01
Start with a questionnaire tailored to the relationship. Understand the services provided, the information shared and the controls the third party says it has in place.
Treat each answer as a claim to assess, rather than an assurance conclusion.
Decide. Remediate. Reassess. Keep the evidence current and revisit the decision as the risk changes.
Connect each answer to supporting material. Give reviewers the context to challenge gaps and make a defensible decision.
Inspect the observations behind a risk. Confirm its relevance, prioritise genuine concerns and focus remediation where it matters.
Combine technical exposure, breach signals and media coverage to reveal concerns that a questionnaire alone may not surface.
Follow changing exposures and supplier dependencies between reviews, so decisions reflect the relationship as it evolves.
The global third-party risk landscape
Third-party involvement is taking a larger share of reported breaches. The trend makes independent checks and ongoing supplier oversight essential parts of the risk conversation.

Technology meets accountability
ShieldFlow AI / Enterprise AI governance & security
Shameer Karriem, Founder & Owner of Nascent Group, holds a 51% ownership stake in ShieldFlow AI, Africa's first AI Governance startup. ShieldFlow AI provides a common security and policy layer for applications, AI agents and employee AI interactions. It connects threat detection, sensitive-data protection and enterprise rules with Tokenomics: visibility into AI token usage, spend and value, bringing governance and financial operations together.
AI can process confidential information, respond to untrusted instructions and invoke enterprise tools. ShieldFlow AI is designed to inspect these protected interactions, apply configured controls and record decisions, helping teams bring governance, risk and compliance considerations into everyday AI use.
One platform. Three protection channels.
Connect application traffic, agent tool calls and employee browser interactions to shared threat detection, sensitive-data checks and policy enforcement.
Inspect application and API-based AI interactions, including prompts and responses.
AI GatewayApply controls to agent interactions with Model Context Protocol servers, tools and enterprise systems.

Stage 01
An application request, agent tool call or employee browser interaction enters ShieldFlow AI through its relevant protection channel.
Protect. Govern. Monitor. Enable. A common control layer across protected AI interactions.
Inspect prompts and responses for personal information, credentials and other protected data before exposure becomes a business risk.
Bring threat detection and policy enforcement to application requests, agent tool calls and protected employee AI use.
Apply a common security and policy layer across three protection channels, connecting AI adoption with organisational oversight.
Record decisions and interaction telemetry so teams can investigate concerns, review controls and support audit readiness.
The ShieldFlow AI Command Center
ShieldFlow AI brings AI governance and financial operations (FinOps) together through Tokenomics. See token consumption, identify tokens burned without meaningful value, uncover wasted spend and surface shadow AI use. One clear platform connects security, usage and cost, helping teams understand where AI delivers value and where it needs attention.
Review sensitive-data detections and protection activity.
Understand detected threats and configured policy outcomes.
Bring issues requiring attention into a shared view.
Bring AI activity and shadow AI use into view across monitored channels.
Track token consumption, wasted spend and usage that burns tokens without meaningful value.
Connect governance reviews with recorded interaction evidence.
Keep operational health in view as AI usage develops.
Review how configured controls are working in practice.
Govern the interaction. Understand the spend. Turn AI visibility into better decisions for security, finance and the business.
